1. I have time issues...I hate being late it is almost a sickness. If you say you will meet me at 8:00 a.m. I will be there at 7:30 and be upset because you are not there!! I was late for my wedding because my cousin couldn't get herself in gear!!! I was starting to walk to the church!!

2. I am a list maker - unfortunately my memory is going so I am always losing my lists!

3. My hubby and I were enemies when we first met...he put gum in my hair I swore revenge! 27 years, two kids later we are still together. Nope he is never leaving me!! hahahahaha

4. If something needs to be done I have to have it done NOW!!! There is no such thing as tomorrow.

5. I can't go to sleep if the closet door is opened..it just freaks me out!!! shudder...

6. My plan when I was in High School was to learn French, major in business and go work in France...doing what? Who knows!!

7. My most favorite thing to do in the winter is un-button my honey's coat and snuggle under...that is the best place to be in the world! I love feeling his scratchy beard on my cheek and smelling his cologne (dolce and gabbana) It makes me feel totally loved and safe.

ahem...

In other news!

I finished two baby blankets. One is pictured here...it is adorable! The other one is in shades of blue and green and white...more for a boy.


I've made progress on my weaving project.


The Garden is exploding with Irises and Columbines...




Finished a data center move on Saturday...one more department to move on Wednesday and Thursday then the looooooooooooong weekend is free!! I plan to wander the city and snap pictures. A ride to Blacktop mountain sounds like fun as well. Am going to put together my catalog as well. I am looking forward to it!

Can you Habu?

isn't it pretty?? A-129 in Ice Blue...the only thing that I don't like about Habu Yarns is the yarns don't have names...just numbers. It is a nice combo of 90% wool and 10% nylon. Am using honking big needles and will make a cool wrap/scarf. I love the color...very pretty blue. I am feeling better a little tired. All results are in...everything was benign (sp? can't spell right now) Am taking iron pills and vitamin c to help my body absorb the iron. Have gotten lots of rest. I've been a total slacker at work. I still get in at 6:00 a.m. but I leave between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. I started weight watchers yesterday. I just need to lose a little weight and am looking into the New York Health and Raquet club for exercise. Lola bird will be going for nice walks with me. What is up with the weather in NY lately? Oh Yes Mr. Postman!!

Finally Friday...It is really Friday! This was the longest day in my life. Oh hecky yes I really didn't think I'd get through the week. Enough moaning! Mr. Postman, my favorite man in the world, brought some beautiful yarn to the cottage on S.I. I think I will set myself up with some delish Margaritas and start working on a new shawl. Is it for me or maybe a Christmas present...well time will tell! Here is the very delicate icy yarn draped over my dining room chair waiting to be rolled up. The yarn is so soft I can not wait to start in...oh boy! Good thing the Lola Monster isn't around...she loves to snatch yarn and run around like a maniac. There she is looking to see what to grab..hmm cake? Bag of yarn or finished shawl.. Enjoy the weekend! Marie

Progress!!!!

You all were right! The fuzzy funky picture was of the Empire State Building from the West side of the city, around 28th street and 9th Avenue. Look at Chocolate!! I buckled down and worked on this all weekend..well I did stop to take a ride with Mister Hubby out to Ikea to see if we could find something to keep my linen in. No luck! It was very crowded and full of screaming kids. Poor kiddies! I did find this cool basket to keep my current work in process in. I normally use a small shopping bag, but the yarn would tangle. This is much nicer. I also reorganized my craft corner. My books and yarn were getting out of control! Lola's room is finished! A little house I made. It didn't come out too great..the next one will be better. This is the very first embroidery I made and kept for myself when I was about 13.
