It felt like spring for a few days
Here are the girls in the park..nice to see the snow melting!
Chef came down to visit from Boston.
Here he is with Auntie and his crystal ball...he juggles those Lucite balls like the magician in labyrinth..

Here he is with his dad..Can you feel the love?

And finally some crocheting is being done! Here is a detail shot of the flowers I'm sewing on.

Cute simple sweater took all of a weekend to do.

Here is Mimi..or should I say mini me? She grabbed my hooks and was trying to do something with the yarn..too cute!

Am working on a second sweater...I should have that done tonight.
I finally hooked up my new printer...so cool!
Am working on a project...hopefully I'll have some pictures soon.
for now I am going back to finishing sweater number 2.
Happy valentine's day!

see if fabric order came in
send out some orders I've got in (exciting!)
get great niece's size so I can make a sample she can model
make a few freezer meals I can toss in the oven to defrost
check out FIT for portfolio requirements
I think that is it for the mo'
well hugs to you all...I have to run to Habu for some yarn I ordered...ack that isn't on the list!

Yarn for another neck warmer..This year I am not buying gifts..Handmade gifts is the way to go! Well the kiddies will get toys...I am not too good at making kiddie toys..

I have to have a nice picture taken of myself with my new neckwarmer from my Sit-n-Knit exchange buddy...it is warm as anything and I've worn it every day this past week..
Enjoy your week and make sure you wear your wollens!

Where has time gone!?
A lady bug landed in my yard and was giving out candy...
Here is a close-up shot of the little bug...
Here is Mimi with Great-Grandma...they were engaged in a deep conversation.
I haven't been able to do too much work on my projects. I did manage to make a super cool neck warmer for my sit n knit group swap. The lady I created a neck warmer for said she loved fall colors...I did a cable stitch that wove in and out of itself. I like how it turned out. I hope it keeps her nice and warm.
Am about half way through my physical therapy for my neck and am absolutely feeling much better. I will not be lifting anymore heavy equipment any time soon. My left thumb is still a bit jacked up, but am sure it will heal in time. Grrrr it is sure bumming me out not being able to knit or crochet.
I want to make an EZ baby surprise sweater for Ms. Mimi...just as soon as my hand is better I will cast on.
Christmas decorations are out already. I still have my Halloween stuff out...what is the rush?
Enjoy the fall colors...it is really pretty out there today!
Hugs

Yarny works...
All,
As promised!! A couple of the projects I've been working on...
A baby sweater for Mimi..making it out of Cupcake yarn in Pink Lemonade from Lion Brand
Then another pink sweater I crocheted in a dusty pink for one of the girls at work...Just have to sew in the label and a couple of snaps.
Then a sweater I knit for myself (it only took me all summer!) yarn is Rowan Tapestry. Unfortunately I started it before Weight Watchers so it is way big...I lost 25 pounds Wohooo...I didn't take that into consideration when I was working on the darn thing. It is big, but I will wear it in the winter...I don't want to pull it out.
The bottom part before the seaming party...
Well that is all for now...It is nice and sunny out so I think I am going to make a warp for the loom....some tsumagi silk is calling my name!
Next time...I'll share a bit of info on a knitting group I've joined...
Enjoy the great weather!
Hugs
Marie
